Law Abiding Citizen is a movie about a guy whose wife and daughter get raped and killed. Ten years later he kills one of the bad guys who did this to his wife and daughter.

When the husband goes to jail for talking back to the judge he avenges people while he’s in there. The movie stars, Gerard Butler, Jamie Fox, Bruce Magill and Regina Hall.

I give this movie 9 out of 10. If you’re a fan of Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx than you should see Law Abiding Citizen.

Here are some movies coming to theatres in the summer that you should see.

On July 8th funny man Kevin James stars in the comedy Zookeeper. The movie centers around a zookeeper who wants to get a woman he’s in love with. The zoo animals help him get her. The movie co-stars, Rosario Dawson, and Lesley Bib. Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, Jon Faverau, Cher, and other various actors voice the zoo animals.

Also on July 8th, catch Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, and Kevin Spacey in the comedy Horrible Bosses.

Other movies for the summer include, Smurfs in 3D, Rise of The Planet of The Apes, the remake of Conan The Barbarian in 3D, the final Harry Potter movie in 3D, a comedy called The Change-up starring Ryan Reynolds, and Jason Bateman, a horror movie called Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark which is also a remake, and opening on August 12th in 3D is Final Destination 5.

The Mechanic

The Mechanic is a movie about a guy who is an assassin. He goes after people and kills them. The movie stars Jason Statham, Ben Foster, Tony Goldwin, & Donald Sutherland. I give this movie 8 out of 10.

The Mechanic is a remake of a 1972 movie starring Charles Bronson.

Next up for Jason Statham he will be seen in The Expendables 2 with Sylvester Stallone. It is due out in 2012. Statham’s voice can also be heard in the animated movie Gnomeo & Juliet which is out now on DVD & Blu-ray. If you like Jason Statham you should see The Mechanic.

Megamind

Megamind is an animated movie about a guy who starts out as a nice person. But then decides that being good isn’t much fun. So he becomes a villain and calls himself Megamind. He kidnaps a girl named Roxan Richy and goes after a guy named Metro Man. But at the end of the movie Megamind becomes nice again.

This animated comedy features the voices of, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, David Cross, and Brad Pitt. I give this movie a 7 out of 10.
If you’re a fan of Will Ferrell than you should see Megamind.

Red Riding Hood

Red Riding Hood is a movie about a girl who is going to be eaten by a wolf. At the end of the movie we find out that Red Riding Hood is the wolf’s daughter.

The movie stars, Amanda Siegfried & Gary Oldman. I give this movie 7 out of 10. If you like fairytales then you should see this updated version.

Speed 2

Speed 2 Cruise Control is a movie about a couple who go on a cruise. While they’re on the boat the boat gets taken over by a bad guy. They must try and stop this guy before it’s too late.

The movie starrs, Jason Patrick, Sandra Bullock, & Willem Daphoe. I give this movie 9 out of 10. If you liked the first Speed movie then you should see Speed 2 Cruise Control.

Scream 4

Scream 4 is a movie about a girl named Sidney Prescott who chose to return to her home town. But what she doesn’t know is that the ghost-faced killer is out to get her again. Thought the movie had a bit of a surprising ending.

The movie stars Nev Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquet, Hayden Panatiaire, Emma Roberts, Adam Brody, Anthony Anderson, and others. The movie was directed by legendary horror movie director Wes Craven.

I give this movie 9 out of 10. If you liked the first three Scream movies, than you’ll like the fourth installment.

Unknown

Unknown is an action thriller about a guy named Martin Haris who gets into an accident while in a taxi. After the accidents he goes into a coma for four days. When he gets out of the hospital his friends or his wife doesn’t know who he is. The movie stars, Liam Neeson, Diane Krooger, January Jones, & Frank Langella.

I give Unknown 9 out of 10. If you like Liam Neeson than you should see this action thriller. I can’t believe that Liam Neeson is 58 years old.

Yogi Bear

Yogi Bear is a movie about a bear who lives in a park called Jellystone Park. He likes to steal picnic baskets from people who eat in the park. When Yogi learns that Jellystone Park will be shut he and his bear friend Boo Boo must save the park and Yogie’s home.

The movie stars, Dan Akroid as Yogi Bear, Justin Timberlake as Boo Boo, Tom Kavinaw as Ranger Smith & Ana Faris as a girl named Rachle Johnson. I give Yogi Bear a 10 out of 10. If you loved watching the original Yogi Bear cartoons as a kid than you’ll love this big screen version.

Frozen

Frozen is a movie three skiers who go skiing one Sunday morning. They go skiing for the whole day. At the end of the night they decide that they want to ski down the hill one more time before the ski resort closes for the week. They get on the chairlift and start their way up. When they get midway up the chairlift stops, the lights go out, and the resort closes for the week. They are left stranded on the chairlift for the entire week.
Can these three skiers get down and back to civilization? You’ll have to find out for yourself.

Frozen stars, Kevin Zegers, Shawn Ashmore, & Emma Belle. I give Frozen a 7 out of 10. If you like those types of movies you should see Frozen.

Paul

Paul is a movie about an alien named Paul who is trying to escape from the feds because they want to cut out his brain after he gave certain information. Paul meets two men who try and help Paul back to his home. Paul stars, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Jason Bateman, Kristin Wig, Bill Hader, Blithe Danner, Jane Lynch, Sigourney Weaver, and Seth Rogen as the voice of Paul. I give Paul 10 out of 10.

If you are fans of, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, & Seth Rogen you should go and see Paul.
One of the reasons I wanted to see Paul was because I am a big fan of Jane Lynch. I love her on Glee and the guest spots she had on Two and a Half Men.

Tooth Fairy

Tooth Fairy is a movie about a guy named Derik Thompson played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who gets punished by tooth ferries for not believing in tooth ferries and for killing kid’s dreams. For his punishment he grows tooth ferry wings and has to do tooth ferry duty.

The movie costars Ashley Judd, Billy Christa, and the legendary Julie Andrews.
I give Tooth Ferry 8 out of 10. If you like fantasy movies and comedies you should see Tooth Ferry.

Speed

Speed is a movie about a bad guy who plants a bomb on a bus and a cop must try and get people off the bus before the bomb explodes. He must try to stop the bomb.
Speed stars, Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Jeff Daniels, Joe Morton, and the late Dennis Hopper.

I give Speed a 10 out of 10. If you like Keanu Reeves, Dennis Hopper, Sandra Bullock than you should see this great action thriller.

Bringing Down the House

“Bringing Down The House” is a movie about a guy played by Steve Martin who meets a lady named Sharlene played by Queen Latifah. They meet in an on-line chat room.
She breaks out of a prison from a crime she committed. He lets her live with him and finds out she is a bad person. But the crime he thought she committed he found out she was innocent of. It’s a very funny movie.

Unstoppable

Unstoppable is a movie about a train that gets out of control. The train starts barreling towards this town on it’s own. It’s up to two men to stop it. This movie was directed by Tony Scott & stars, Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, & Rosario Dawson. Tony Scott also directed the action thriller The Taking Of Pelham 1.2.3 which also starred Denzel Washington.

I give Unstoppable 7 out of 10. If you like action thrillers & you’re a fan of both Denzel Washington’s & Tony Scott’s work than you should see Unstoppable.

Conviction

Conviction is a movie about a woman who is brother is convicted of murder.

She must go to law school to get him out of jail. Than she finds out that he’s innocent.

At the end of the movie he’s finally released from jail. Conviction is based on a true story. It stars Hillary Swank, Sam Rockwell, Mini Driver, Malisa Leo, & Juliette Lewis.

I give this movie 8 out of 10. If you like dramatic movies & movies that are based on true stories than you must watch Conviction.

Red

Red is a movie about retired C.I.A. agents who come out of retirement to find out why the C.I.A. is going after them for something they did. In the movie, RED stands for Retired Extremely Dangerous.
Red stars, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary Louis Parker, Dame Helen Mirren, Karl Urbin, Richard Dryfus, and the legendary Earnest Borgnine.

I give Red a 10 out of 10. If you like action movies and comedies Red has all of that and the cast is amazing.

If you get a chance please watch Red. You’ll love it.

Piranha

Piranha is a movie an earthquake that happens on a lake called Lake Victoria. The quake causes a fisher to open under the lake freeing thousands of Piranha. Once freed the Piranha attack any one who goes into the lake. The movie stars Elizabeth Sheu, Adam Scott, Jerry O. Connell, Steven R. McQueen, Christopher Lloyd, & Richard Dryfus. It was directed by Alexander Aja. I give Piranha a tem out of ten. If you like horror movies you have to see this movie.

The Polar Express

The Polar Express is a movie about a boy who takes a ride on a magical train called The Polar Express. He and some other kids get taken by the train to the North pole.
This boy is given the first gift of Christmas by Santa Claus.
The movie stars Tom Hanks. My two favourite characters were the Train Conductor, & a ghost that was on top of the train.

I give The Polar Express a five out of ten. I recommend The Polar Express for anyone who enjoyed reading the book.

Star Trek

This 2009 Star Trek movie is about how the enterprise first got started.
This movie is when all the Star Trek characters were young.
In this Star Trek prequel they have to the evil Romulans from destroying the earth and the enterprise. The Romulans are lead by the evil captain Nero.
The movie stars, Chris Pine as captain Kerk, Zachery Quinto as Spock. Other cast members include, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Eric Bana as Nero, And one of the original cast members Lenard Nimoi. It was directed by J.J. Abrums.

My two favourite characters were Nero, and the older Spock played by Lenard Nimoi.
I give this movie a nine out of ten. If you are a big Star Trek fan you must see this movie.

Cats and Dogs

Cats And Dogs The Revenge of Kitty Galore is a movie about dogs that are agents and they fight crime.
In this movie a cat named Catherine joins the dogs on a mission to stop an evil cat named Kitty Galore from turning dogs & humans into bad people. This movie is a sequel to the 2001 movie Cats & Dogs.
This movie has an all star voice cast including, James Marsdon as Digs the dog, Nick Nolty, Katt Williams, Roger Moore, & Bette Midler.

I thought this movie was very funny. My two favourite characters were, Kitty Galore because I like Bette Midler who voiced her & I liked Shamus the pigeon because he was very funny. I give this movie a six out of ten. I would recommend this movie for anyone who would be interested in watching it.
